# Configure TelAF SOME/IP gateway service in TelAF simulation Source: [https://docs.qualcomm.com/doc/80-41102-1/topic/configure-telaf-some-ip-gateway-service-in-telaf-simulation.html](https://docs.qualcomm.com/doc/80-41102-1/topic/configure-telaf-some-ip-gateway-service-in-telaf-simulation.html) ## About this task Because the simulation environment is different for SA525M and SA515M, to make the TelAF SOME/IP Gateway service work properly in the simulation environment, users must follow the following steps to configure it based on their host environments. ## Procedure 1. Use the network tool (such as 'ifconfig') to get your real IP address for the simulation container. 2. Fill the IP address to the 'unicast' field and the real interface name to the 'device' field of the JSON file: /legato/systems/current/appsWriteable/tafSomeipGWSvc/tafSomeipGWSvc.json. 3. Restart the TelAF SOME/IP gateway service with `app start tafSomeipGWSvc`. Now the TelAF SOME/IP Gateway service should run properly. **Parent Topic:** [Features supported by simulation](https://docs.qualcomm.com/doc/80-41102-1/topic/features-supported-by-simulation.html) Last Published: Aug 06, 2026 [Previous Topic Features supported by simulation](https://docs.qualcomm.com/bundle/publicresource/80-41102-1/topics/features-supported-by-simulation.md) [Next Topic Enable SMS features and receive an SMS message](https://docs.qualcomm.com/bundle/publicresource/80-41102-1/topics/enable-sms-feature-and-receive-an-sms-message.md)
