The  Qualcomm®  Profiler CLI is a performance profiling system
        that can be used to identify, measure, and optimize application scaling improvement
        opportunities across Qualcomm System-on-Chip (SoC) CPUs, GPUs, DSPs, and other IP
        blocks.

Qualcomm®  Profiler CLI  supports the following platforms:
- Windows 10
- Ubuntu 18.04

## Key features

- Concurrently profiles different subsystems, such as, GPU, CPU, and NSP.
- Dynamically discovers profiling capabilities and profiling metrics.
- Streams profiling data based on configured metrics and capabilities.
- Configurable profile duration and sampling rate.
- Filters data based on profiling metrics.
- Real-time display of profiling metric to standard output.
- Collects profiling metrics in Perfetto trace event format.
- Ability to launch any application before profiling begins.

## Install Qualcomm Profiler on LE

1. Download and install [Qualcomm Profiler](https://qpm.qualcomm.com/#/main/tools/details/Qualcomm_Profiler).
2. Connect the device to the PC.
3. Run `InstallerLE`from these locations:
    - For Windows x86: C:\Program Files
                                (x86)\Qualcomm\Shared\QualcommProfiler\API\target-le
    - For Linux:
                                /opt/qcom/Shared/QualcommProfiler/API/target-le

| `-i` | IP address | IP address used to start the server. <br>If IP is not passed, the<br>                                    installer tries to start the server on WLAN IP. |
| `-s` | Specifies whether the server must be started | If the `-s` option is passed, the script does not<br>                                    start the server, and the IP address parameter<br>                                        `-i` is ignored. |
| `-f` | Force installation | Forcefully pushes all files to the device even if one file fails<br>                                to push |
| `-h` | Help | Displays the help menu |

## Set up the Qualcomm Profiler profiling server on LE for on-host
                profiling

The Qualcomm Profiler profiling server must be started on the
                device to enable profiling. The `adb shell ifconfig`lists various
                network interfaces available from an LE device. The server can be started on the
                corresponding network interface depending on user requirements:
- Remote streaming over Wi-Fi: `“wlan0”` inet address, such as,
                            `10.73.67.255`

1. Run this command from an adb shell (required for every new adb shell):

        export QMONITOR_BACKEND_LIB_PATH=/var/QualcommProfiler/libs/backends/
        export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$LD_LIBRARY_PATH:/var/QualcommProfiler/libs/
        export PATH=$PATH:/data/shared/QualcommProfiler/binsCopy to clipboard
2. Run the profiling server from an adb
                    shell:

        #qprof --configure --server-ip <ServerIP> --port <ServerPort>
        ServerIP would be the device IP that can used for device communication detailed on 2.1.2.b 
        ServerPort has a default value of 62472. 
        #qprof --start-server Copy to clipboard

To stop the `qmonitor` server, use `qprof
                --stop-server`.

## Set up the Qualcomm Profiler profiling client on LE for on-device
                profiling

To set up the Qualcomm Profiler command-line interface (qprof), run the following
                commands from an adb shell (required for every new adb shell):

    # export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$LD_LIBRARY_PATH:/var/QualcommProfiler/libs/
    # export PATH=$PATH:/data/shared/QualcommProfiler/binsCopy to clipboard
