Check the battery status and mount the device for shipment.

1. **Check battery status**.
Click the **Devices** tab. In the **Tracking Devices** dashboard, check the battery status of the device.

    If needed, place
the QTS110 device into the charging cradle or use a USB-C cable to connect the device to a
power source. A message on the **Alert Summary** tab indicates when charging is
          complete.
2. **Mount the device**.
When the LED on the device emits a fast-blinking Green and is
fully charged, mount the device on the top or side of your shipment. These positions
ensure that the device sensors are not blocked.
3. **Read the device**.
The LED on the device emits different colors and blink rates
                    based on its [status](https://docs.qualcomm.com/doc/80-60631-1/topic/QTS110-LED-status-indicators.html).
4. **Bring the device to shipment temperature**.
    To ensure accurate temperature
reporting if the device is being placed in a hot or cool environment, keep the device in
the desired temperature for one hour prior to shipment to allow the device to fully come
to ambient temperature. 90% of temperature changes will be captured in the first twenty
minutes, and the remaining 10% of the change captured over the next half hour.
5. **Confirm that the device reports to the cloud**.
Prior to shipment, check that the
device is able to send a report to the cloud by waiting for the first report based on set
reporting frequency, or by pressing the power button to reboot the device which will send
          an immediate report.

Create a support ticket at [Aware Support](https://mysupport.qualcomm.com/aware/s/) if the device displays an LED error
        state.
