Frequently asked questions related to the QTS110 device.

## Do I need to get a SIM card to use with the device?

No, the device comes with an eSIM card for out-of-the-box connectivity.

## How do I activate the device?

Press and hold the power button until the Green LED blinks once (12 sec). Release the power button and wait until LED starts flashing white (24 sec). After another 10 sec, the LED will start flashing Green. The device is ready for use.

## How do I charge the device?

Place the device on the charging cradle or use a USB-C cable to connect the device to a power source.

You will receive an Alert on the Service Portal when charging is complete.

## Where can I see the battery status?

Navigate to the Service Portal’s Device/Misc Alerts to view battery status.

## Where should I mount the device?

Mount your device on the top or sides of the shipment to ensure that the sensors are not blocked and can provide accurate sensor data reporting and connectivity.

## How long does the battery last and how long does it take to charge?

A number of power optimizations will be added in upcoming releases. It is recommended to use a sensor measurement interval of 15 min and a cloud reporting interval of 30 min for optimal battery life.

For a 100% charge, the expected time charging behavior is approximately 4 hours and 15 minutes.

## Can I use Aware devices on air or sea shipments?

This will be available in future releases.
