Frequently asked questions related to the QTS112 device.

## Do I need to get a SIM card to use with the device?

No, the device is equipped with an eSIM that provides out-of-the box connectivity.

## How do I activate or power down the device?

- **To activate:** Press the power button on a powered off device until the white LED
          is illuminated. This indicates that the device is powered on and ready for use.
- **To power down:** Hold the power button for 3 seconds.

## How do I charge the device?

Place the device on the charging cradle. A solid green LED is shown when the device is in
        the cradle and the battery is fully charged.

You will receive an Alert on the Service Portal when charging is complete.

## Where can I see the battery status?

Navigate to the Service Portal’s Device/Misc Alerts to view battery status.

## Where should I mount the device?

Mount your device on the top or sides of the shipment to ensure the best data reporting and
        connectivity.

## How long does the battery last and how long does it take to charge?

For a location reporting interval of 15 minutes, the expected battery life is 5 to 7
        days.

To obtain a 100% battery charge, the expected charging time from 0 to 100% is approximately
        2 hours and 30 minutes.

## Must the device be powered on to be charged while inside the cradle?

Yes, the device must be in the powered-on state to be charged.

- For the QTS112GL variant, the device will power itself on automatically when inserted
          into the cradle.
- Otherwise, power on the device while inside of cradle by pressing and holding the power
          button until the white LED disappears.

## Can I use Aware devices on air or sea shipments?

The QTS112 supports Flight Mode Detection for air shipments. Refer to the cargo airline’s
        requirements before consigning the QTS112 tracker to an air shipment.
