# LaaS end-to-end call flows

This section provides detailed end-to-end LaaS call flows for two different types of scenarios:
1. Call flows **with** a valid location configuration
2. Call flows **without** a valid location configuration

Both call flows assume the location technology and public key have already been configured
        on the AMM client, via ` AT$QCFG` command.

## Valid location configuration

The following figure shows the LaaS end-to-end call flow when an AMM client already has a
        valid location configuration present on the device and `AT$QCFG` command has
        already been executed previously to setup the public key and desired location technology to
        be used If a Customer Cloud is used to communicate with both MCU and Aware Cloud, customers
        are responsible for communication between MCU and Customer Cloud.

1. The MCU initiates a location request via `AT$QCLOC` command.
2. If the command is successful, the AMM module returns encrypted location measurement
            data from all selected location technologies, as part of the AT response. The response
            data is encoded in a **base64** format.
3. Once the MCU receives the AT command response, the MCU needs to convert the response
            data from a base64 format back to a **binary** format.
4. The MCU delivers the location measurement data (in binary format) to the Aware Cloud,
            using HTTPS POST /laas/v1/location REST API.
Note: The Aware Cloud returns the location
              fix only using the right location technology the OEM has subscribed for. For example,
              if an OEM has subscribed only to the Service Cell Location service and reports ECID
              data to the Aware Cloud, the ECID information is not used in computing the location
              fix.
5. Once a position is computed, the Aware Cloud returns the device position back to the
            MCU in the HTTPS response.

## Invalid location configuration

The following figure shows the LaaS end-to-end call flow when an AMM client does not
        already have a valid location configuration present on the device when
          `AT$QCFG` command has been executed previously to setup the public key and
        desired location technology to be used.

If a Customer Cloud is used to communicate with both the MCU and the Aware Cloud, customers
        are responsible for communication between the MCU and the Customer Cloud.
Note: This is only
          applicable to ECID (Cell Measurements) based Location Requests.

1. The MCU initiates a location request through `AT$QCLOC` command.
2. The MCU receives an error code = 1004 in the AT command response. The error code 1004
            indicates that the location configuration is either missing or invalid.
3. The MCU issues `AT$QCRLC` to request for location configuration.
4. The AMM module returns location configuration request data as part of the AT command
            response. The location configuration request data is encoded in a **base64**
            format.
5. The MCU performs a base64 to binary conversion to convert the location configuration
            request data back to a **binary** format.
6. The MCU delivers the location configuration request data (in binary format) to the
            Aware Cloud, using HTTPS POST /laas/v1/configuration REST API.
7. The Aware Cloud returns the location configuration data in the HTTPS response, in a
              **binary** format.
8. The MCU converts the location configuration response data from a binary format to a
              **base64** format.
9. The MCU sends the location configuration response data to the AMM module and starts a
            location request, using `AT$QCSLCLOC` command.
10. If the command is successful, the AMM module returns encrypted location measurement
            data from all selected location technologies, as part of the AT response. The response
            data is encoded in a **base64** format.
11. Once the MCU receives the AT command response, the MCU needs to convert the response
            data from base64 format back to a **binary** format.
12. The MCU delivers the location measurement data (in a binary format) to the Aware
            Cloud, using HTTPS POST /laas/v1/location REST API.
13. The Aware Cloud computes the device position using the provided location measurement
            data. Only the measurement data from licensed location technologies are used in
            positional computation.
14. Once a position is computed, the Aware Cloud returns the device position back to the
            MCU in the HTTPS response.
