# Set up an Ubuntu VM on a Mac

To set up an Ubuntu VM on a Mac, you must use a VM host such as UTM. UTM is an
            open-source VM host for macOS, which enables you to run Linux distributions on Macs.

You can set up an Ubuntu VM on Mac for the following CPU architectures:
