# Upgrade process

Qualcomm recommends the following path to migrate the QLI baseline to GA 1.4 or later.

| **Base release** | **Target release** | **Method** |
| --- | --- | --- |
| GA 1.2 and earlier | GA 1.4 or later | Factory flash followed by CDT and UFS provisioning |
| GA 1.3 | GA 1.4 to later | OTA |

**Note**: GA 1.5 or previous HLOS images are not compatible with GA 1.6 or later non-HLOS images for **Qualcomm Dragonwing RB3 Gen 2 kits** and **Qualcomm Dragonwing IQ-8275 Evaluation Kit**.
