# Getting started

The Qualcomm^®^ FastCV SDK library is for sophisticated computer vision (CV) application developers who write CV applications that run on Snapdragon platforms.
Qualcomm FastCV is designed to run efficiently on Snapdragon platforms that include Android mobile, computers, XR, and IOT devices.

The Qualcomm FastCV SDK library is released as a unified binary.
This unified binary has a single API, and two implementations:

- Qualcomm FastCV for Arm^®^ is designed to run efficiently on Arm processors.
- Qualcomm FastCV for Qualcomm^®^ Mobile Platform runs on Qualcomm SoCs with the same API as Qualcomm FastCV for Arm,
with the addition of hardware accelerated implementations of the CV functions included in the library.
