# Develop an application

Note

- Qdemo and Qualcomm Visual Studio Code Extension aren’t available in the QLI 2.0 RC2 release. They will be available in a future release.
- To upgrade the software to QLI 2.0, see [Update the Qualcomm Linux software](https://docs.qualcomm.com/doc/80-80021-251/topic/upgrade-rb3gen2-software.html#upgrade-rb3gen2-software).

You can build AI and Multimedia applications on the Qualcomm Dragonwing^™^ RB3 Gen 2 Development Kit using the Qualcomm^®^ Visual Studio Code Extension. It’s an integrated application development environment for Qualcomm development kits. The extension runs on Ubuntu (or WSL with Ubuntu) and facilitates device configuration and software development, including compilation, debugging, and binary flashing.

For more information, see [Qualcomm Visual Studio Code Extension Reference Guide](https://docs.qualcomm.com/bundle/publicresource/topics/80-79972-1/quick_start.html).
