# Simulation platform

The sensing hub simulator (SHS) enables sensor algorithm development and testing without physical hardware. It provides a simulated environment that mimics the behavior of the sensor subsystem, which allows developers to validate sensor use cases early in the development cycle.

Key capabilities of SHS include:

- Simulating sensor data inputs for accelerometer, gyroscope, magnetometer, and other supported sensors.
- Running sensor algorithms in a host-based environment without target hardware.
- Validating sensor use cases and algorithm correctness before on-device testing.
- Accelerating the development cycle by enabling early software bring-up and testing.

See [Sensor hub simulator (SHS)](https://docs.qualcomm.com/doc/80-P9361-25), for more information about setup, configuration, simulation workflows, and usage of SHS.
