The procedure for installing the binary executable files in an embedded device typically involves programming the software executable binary images into a flash memory component on the device. For devices that include the Qualcomm Robotics RB5 Platform chipset, the Qualcomm Product Configuration Assistant Tool (PCAT) can be used to program system software binary images into the flash memory on the device. The Qualcomm Robotics RB5 Development Kit User Guide (80-88500-5) provides instructions on how to update the system software on the Qualcomm Robotics RB5 Platform Development Kit hardware.
