The procedures for building the system software executables for a selected software release include:

1. Getting a local copy of the software release file set.
2. Generating the executable binary file for each software executable in the system.

Note: Some software executables may only be available in binary form as part of a software release, so it may not be possible to build every executable binary from a software release.

The procedure for acquiring a local copy of the software release file set includes getting the required files from the CreatePoint website ([https://createpoint.qti.qualcomm.com](https://createpoint.qti.qualcomm.com)) and from the CodeLinaro website ([www.codelinaro.org](http://www.codelinaro.org)). The applicable release notes document describes the specific steps that are required to get the necessary files from these websites and to establish a file tree on a local host that can be used to generate the software executable binaries.

Once a local software release file tree has been established on a local host with the necessary build environment, the system software executable binary files can be generated. The applicable software release notes document describes the specific steps that are required to generate the system software binary files from the local release file tree.
