The Qualcomm Robotics RB5 Development Kit provides a flexible platform for product developers to evaluate system functionality, try out sample applications, migrate existing applications, develop new features, and integrate with a variety of peripheral devices. The development kit provides a Linux software environment for application software development, and the system software can also be customized and updated using a selected release of the QRB5165 system software.

The Development Kit User Guide provides an overall description of the hardware and software for this platform, and includes instructions for setting up the platform and getting started with software application development in the Linux software environment. The Software Reference Manual and Software User Guide provide more detailed information about the system architecture and provide instructions for configuring and evaluating system functionality.

To support platform evaluation and application software development, a variety of sample applications for the Qualcomm Robotics RB5 Development Kit are currently available on GitHub. These include examples of robotics applications, artificial intelligence models, and peripheral component integrations. The Development Kit User Guide provides more information about the available sample applications and provides instructions for installing the Robot Operating System (ROS) and deploying sample applications.
