# Set up the device

The Dragonwing IQ-9075 EVK IFP ships without the Ubuntu software installed on the SoC. See, [Update the software](https://docs.qualcomm.com/doc/80-90441-43/topic/iq9-gmsl-ug-update-the-sw.html#gmsl-flash-rc20-software) on the Dragonwing IQ-9075 before you start developing.

To set up the device, do the following:

1. Connect the power adapter and power on the platform.
2. Connect the USB-A to micro-USB cable to the debug port and host computer for serial logs.
3. Connect the USB-A to USB-C cable to the USB0 (ADB) port and host computer for flash operations and ADB logs.
