# Required hardware and software

To get started, ensure you have the following:

- QCC74xM EVK board
- USB Type‑C cable
- Windows or Linux host computer
- A serial terminal emulator, such as PuTTY or Tera Term

Windows-specific requirements:

- Install the [CH347 USB‑to‑JTAG driver](https://www.wch-ic.com/downloads/CH341PAR_EXE.html)
- Install the [CH343 USB‑to‑Serial driver](https://www.wch-ic.com/downloads/CH343SER_EXE.html)
- After installation, include both driver directories in the system’s `PATH` environment variable.
