# Set up QCC IDE environment for QCC730

To set up QCC IDE environment for QCC730, install QCC IDE to VS Code, and then install QCC730	SDK dependencies.

	
Note: QCC IDE can run with VS Code on Windows 11 and 10. Windows 11 is recommended.

## Install QCC IDE

You can install QCC IDE automatically or manually.

	
Note: Manual installation isn't recommended and should only be used when there are network connection issues or automatic installation is unsuccessful.

### Install QCC IDE automatically

QCC730 SDK provides a PowerShell script file that can install QCC IDE to VS Code, including all the required components.

	
Note:  This PowerShell script installs Python 3.11.5, which is the version		the QCC IDE has been verified on.

	
To use the PowerShell script file, follow these steps:

	
1. Open PowerShell as administrator.
2. Run the following command:

        Set-ExecutionPolicy RemoteSigned -Scope CurrentUser -ForceCopy to clipboard
3. Go to the qccide folder of QCC730 SDK and then execute install.ps1.

#### Install QCC IDE to VS Code
				
Use one of the following methods to install QCC IDE extension to VS Code:

- Execute the following command in Windows command line:

        code --install-extension $QCCIDEVsixFileCopy to clipboard
- Follow these steps in VS Code:
    1. Go to the **Extensions** view.
    2. Click the **Views and More Actions** button, and then select **Install from VSIX**.
    3. Select the qcc-ide-extension-x.x.x.vsix file in the comp\qccide folder and then click						Install.
