# genie-app The `genie-app` tool is a robust test application that allows for general usage of the Genie library. This tool exposes API-level commands and related utilities to enable a wide range of various configurations that more closely emulates developers’ Genie SDK use cases. Generally, DIALOG\_NAME translates to a GenieDialog\_Handle\_t, PIPELINE\_NAME to a GeniePipeline\_Handle\_t, and so on. If there is a CONFIG\_NAME argument, it would correspond to a configuration handle to the respective API component. For example, the “dialog create” CONFIG\_NAME would refer to a GenieDialogConfig\_Handle\_t.
