# Upgrade other SDKs

The functional SDKs are integrated into the QIMP SDKs as individual layers that fetch
        the source or proprietary binaries. Although the best practice is to use the versions that
        are already integrated with a specific QIMP SDK, you have the option to update the
        individual function SDKs if needed.

The SDK versions are configured in the [layer.conf](https://github.com/quic-yocto/meta-qcom-qim-product-sdk/blob/kirkstone/conf/layer.conf) file.

## Upgrade Qualcomm Neural Processing SDK or Qualcomm AI Engine Direct SDK

To upgrade the SDK, update the required SDK's version in the
                        <var class="keyword varname">Version</var> field.

To find the version string:
- For Qualcomm Neural processing SDK, go to [QSC](https://softwarecenter.qualcomm.com/#/) &gt; Qualcomm Neural Processing
                            SDK and select the required version from the
                            Version drop-down list.
- For Qualcomm AI Engine Direct SDK, go to [QSC](https://softwarecenter.qualcomm.com/#/) &gt; Qualcomm AI Engine Direct
                            SDK and select the required version from the
                            Version drop-down list.
