# Configure video settings Source: [https://docs.qualcomm.com/doc/80-88500-3/topic/16_Configure_video_settings.html](https://docs.qualcomm.com/doc/80-88500-3/topic/16_Configure_video_settings.html) Configuring the video settings involves setting up the supported frame rates and interfaces. QRB5165 uses GStreamer plugins – `qtic2venc` and `qtic2vdec`. QRB5165 uses the Qualcomm® Adreno™ VPU 665 video core and supports up to 8K resolution video encoding and decoding. - 7680 × 4320 at 60 fps/8192 × 4320 at 48 fps for H.264/HEVC/VP9 decode - 7680 × 4320 at 30 fps for H.264/HEVC encode QRB5165 has improved frame rates (2x) for decoder and encoder. - Decoder frame rates: - 1280 × 720 at 960 fps - 1920 × 1088 at 480 fps - 3840 × 2160 at 240 fps - 7680 × 4320 at 60 fps - Encoder frame rates: - 1280 × 720 at 960 fps - 1920 × 1088 at 480 fps - 3840 × 2160 at 120 fps - Standalone HEVC HDR10+ QRB5165 provides two types of interfaces to configure the video hardware capability: - GStreamer multimedia framework uses the GStreamer plug-in called `qtic2venc` to access the video hardware. - Codec2 interface is a lower-level API. QRB5165 has leveraged the Codec2 implementation from the Qualcomm mobile platform. Most interfaces are the same except that the GBM replaces the `gralloc` module. - **[Configure encoder GStreamer plug-in qtic2venc](https://docs.qualcomm.com/doc/80-88500-3/topic/17_Configure_encoder_Gstreamer_plug_in_qtic2venc.html)** **Parent Topic:** [Configure multimedia settings](https://docs.qualcomm.com/doc/80-88500-3/topic/7_Configure_multimedia_settings.html) Last Published: Sep 26, 2023 [Previous Topic Configure USB camera with Yavta](https://docs.qualcomm.com/bundle/publicresource/80-88500-3/topics/15_Build_Yavta.md) [Next Topic Configure encoder GStreamer plug-in qtic2venc](https://docs.qualcomm.com/bundle/publicresource/80-88500-3/topics/17_Configure_encoder_Gstreamer_plug_in_qtic2venc.md)
