# Introduction

This document provides a detailed description of the software design and architecture of the
      system, which is essential to set up the platform effectively within a network. This document
      is intended for software developers who are interested in understanding the workflows and
      operations of the different subsystems, such as platform, connectivity, and multimedia, and
      their framework, functions, and programming models.

The Robotics RB5 Platform supports both Linux Ubuntu and Linux Embedded operating systems. In
      this document, information that is unique to an operating system is presented using separate
      heads.
