# Get started with LCP-DARE configuration Configure a protected DRAM region, flash it to the device, and confirm the applied protection from the high-level operating system (HLOS). Move from a default configuration to a verified LCP-DARE region on a device with the following prerequisites and steps. Each step maps to a detailed procedure in the configuration and debugging topics. ## Prerequisites - QDUTT installed from the Qualcomm package manager (QPM). - Access to the boot build path that contains the default `Glymur_LCP.bin`. - A Snapdragon^®^ X2 Linux Mobile PC target that you can flash and boot. ## Configure and verify a region Complete these steps to configure a region and confirm the applied protection end to end: 1. Open QDUTT, select the **Glymur** target, and choose the **LCP** option. 2. Load the default configuration, set the protection mode and size for each region, and save the configuration as `xbl_config.elf`. 3. Flash `xbl_config.elf` to the device and restart so `XBL_SC` applies the configuration.
