# Enable verbose USB logging in Linux Enable verbose USB debug logging through debugfs for device mode, host mode, or both. Enable dynamic debug for the driver files that correspond to the mode you’re debugging. ## Enable verbose USB logging 1. For device mode, enable dynamic debug for the controller and PHY drivers, and for the function driver of the interface you’re debugging. echo 'file dwc3-qcom.c +p' > /d/dynamic_debug/control echo 'file phy-msm-snps-eusb2.c +p' > /d/dynamic_debug/control echo 'file phy-msm-ssusb-qmp.c +p' > /d/dynamic_debug/control echo 'file f_fs.c +p' > /d/dynamic_debug/control Copy to clipboard 2. For host mode, enable dynamic debug for the host controller driver (HCD). echo 'file hub.c +p' > /d/dynamic_debug/control echo 'module xhci_hcd +p' > /d/dynamic_debug/control Copy to clipboard ## Related - [Read the DWC3 debugfs entries](https://docs.qualcomm.com/doc/80-A0399-8/topic/read-dwc3-debugfs-entries.html) - [Enable full USB logs in UEFI](https://docs.qualcomm.com/doc/80-A0399-8/topic/enable-full-usb-logs-uefi.html) - [Debug UEFI USB with serial logs and JTAG](https://docs.qualcomm.com/doc/80-A0399-8/topic/debug-uefi-usb-serial-jtag.html) Last Published: Sep 17, 2026 [Previous Topic Debug the USB interface](https://docs.qualcomm.com/bundle/publicresource/80-A0399-8/topics/debug-usb.md) [Next Topic Read the DWC3 debugfs entries](https://docs.qualcomm.com/bundle/publicresource/80-A0399-8/topics/read-dwc3-debugfs-entries.md)
