# Linux USB features The Linux USB stack supports USB3 and USB2, and the USB device tree configuration is in `/arch/arm64/boot/dts/qcom/glymur.dtsi`. The multiport controller driver is ported from upstream. For USB-C, the USB retimer control migrates to the SoCCPv2 charger PD firmware for improved security and consistency with embedded controller (EC)-based designs. The USB stack supports peripheral and host functions. The following table lists the supported Linux USB features and their comments. | Feature | Supported | Comments | | --- | --- | --- | | Peripheral ADB | Yes | ADB functionality is integrated over FFS. | | Peripheral mass storage | Yes | — | | Peripheral diag | Yes | Diag functionality is integrated over FFS. | | Host USB 3.0 driver (xHCI) | Yes | — | | USB attached SCSI protocol | Yes | UASP is enabled by default in the GKI kernel. | | Host HS USB | Yes | — | | Host HID/MS/Hub driver | Yes | — | | Host video driver | Yes | Verified on limited webcam models. | | Host link power management | Yes | — | The USB subsystem supports several loading, debug, host, and charging use cases: - **Software loading** — Emergency download (PBL) [PCAP] and UEFI (fastboot). - **Debugging tools** — RAM dump collection (XBL), ADB, and diag. - **Host mode** — Detection of hubs, human interface devices (HIDs), and mass storage devices. - **USB charging** ## Related - [USB kernel configurations](https://docs.qualcomm.com/doc/80-A0399-8/topic/usb-kernel-configurations.html) - [USB controller software drivers](https://docs.qualcomm.com/doc/80-A0399-8/topic/usb-controller-software-drivers.html) - [Enable a USB controller in Device mode](https://docs.qualcomm.com/doc/80-A0399-8/topic/enable-usb-controller-device-mode.html) Last Published: Sep 17, 2026 [Previous Topic Locate the PCIe firmware sources](https://docs.qualcomm.com/bundle/publicresource/80-A0399-8/topics/locate-pcie-firmware-sources.md) [Next Topic USB kernel configurations](https://docs.qualcomm.com/bundle/publicresource/80-A0399-8/topics/usb-kernel-configurations.md)
