# USB kernel configurations The USB kernel configurations are set in `glymur_perf.bzl`. Use the following table to confirm which kernel configurations are enabled and what each one provides before you build the USB stack. The following table lists the USB kernel configurations, whether each is enabled, and its purpose. | Configuration | Enabled | Description | | --- | --- | --- | | `CONFIG_USB` | Yes | USB Host mode. | | `CONFIG_USB_PHY` | Yes (implicit) | Enables the USB PHY framework; required if using separate PHY drivers. | | `CONFIG_USB_GADGET` | Yes | Enables USB gadget support. | | `CONFIG_USB_CONFIGFS` | Yes | Enables ConfigFS support. | | `CONFIG_USB_XHCI_HCD` | Yes | Enables the XHCI host stack. | | `CONFIG_USB_DWC3` | Yes | Enables the Synopsys DWC3 driver core. | | `CONFIG_TYPEC` | Yes | Enables USB Type-C support. | | `CONFIG_TYPEC_UCSI` | Yes | Enables the UCSI core driver. | | `CONFIG_USB_XHCI_SIDEBAND` | Yes | Enables xHCI support for sideband; required for audio offloading. | | `CONFIG_USB_DWC3_MSM` | Yes (module) | Enables the DWC3 MSMâ„¢ Chipsets glue driver. | | `CONFIG_PHY_QCOM_QMP` | Yes (module) | Enables the SS-USB QMP PHY driver. | | `CONFIG_USB_REPEATER` | Yes (module) | Enables the USB repeater drivers. | | `CONFIG_PHY_QCOM_EUSB2_REPEATER` | Yes (module) | Enables the QTI PMIC eUSB2 repeater driver. | | `CONFIG_UCSI_QTI_GLINK` | Yes (module) | Enables the UCSI driver, which supports DisplayPort alt mode and analog
audio. | | `CONFIG_PHY_QCOM_QMP_COMBO` | Yes (module) | Enables the SS-USB QMP PHY driver. | | `CONFIG_PHY_QCOM_SNPS_EUSB2` | Yes (module) | Enables the Synopsys (SNPS) eUSB2 PHY driver. | ## Related - [USB controller software drivers](https://docs.qualcomm.com/doc/80-A0399-8/topic/usb-controller-software-drivers.html) - [USB controller clocks](https://docs.qualcomm.com/doc/80-A0399-8/topic/usb-controller-clocks.html) - [Enable a USB controller in Device mode](https://docs.qualcomm.com/doc/80-A0399-8/topic/enable-usb-controller-device-mode.html) Last Published: Sep 17, 2026 [Previous Topic Linux USB features](https://docs.qualcomm.com/bundle/publicresource/80-A0399-8/topics/linux-usb-features.md) [Next Topic USB controller software drivers](https://docs.qualcomm.com/bundle/publicresource/80-A0399-8/topics/usb-controller-software-drivers.md)
