# ELF file viewer

The ELF file viewer utility displays information about the contents of the specified ELF object files. If no input files are specified, the utility attempts to read from the standard input.

Note

This utility returns zero on success, or greater than zero if an error occurs.

## Command

To start the ELF file viewer utility from the command line:

hexagon-llvm-readelf [<option...>] [<input...>]
    Copy to clipboard

Where `<option>` is one or more of the following:

-demangle            | -C
    -dyn-symbols
    -dynamic-table
    -elf-section-groups  | -g
    -expand-relocs
    -file-headers        | -h
    -help
    -needed-libs
    -program-headers
    -relocations         | -r
    -section-data        | sd
    -section-relocations | -sr
    -section-symbols     | -st
    -sections            | -s
    -symbols             | -t
    -version
    -unwind              | -u
    Copy to clipboard

## Options

-demangle
    -C
    Copy to clipboard

Print demangled symbol names in the output.

-dyn-symbols
    Copy to clipboard

Display the dynamic symbol table (only for ELF object files).

-dynamic-table
    Copy to clipboard

Display the ELF `.dynamic` section table (only for ELF object files).

-elf-section-groups
    -g
    Copy to clipboard

Display section groups (only for ELF object files).

-expand-relocs
    Copy to clipboard

When used with `-relocations`, display each relocation in an expanded multi-line format.

-file-headers
    -h
    Copy to clipboard

Display the file headers.

-help
    Copy to clipboard

Display the command usage information and then exit.

-needed-libs
    Copy to clipboard

Display the required libraries (only for ELF object files).

-program-headers
    Copy to clipboard

Display the program headers.

-relocations
    -r
    Copy to clipboard

Display the relocation entries in the file.

-section-data sd
    Copy to clipboard

When used with -sections, display section data for each section shown.

-section-relocations
    -sr
    Copy to clipboard

When used with -sections, display relocations for each section shown.

-section-symbols
    -st
    Copy to clipboard

When used with -sections, display symbols for each section shown.

-sections
    -s
    Copy to clipboard

Display all sections.

-symbols
    -t
    Copy to clipboard

Display the symbol table.

-version
    Copy to clipboard

Display the utility version identifier and then exit.

-unwind
    -u
    Copy to clipboard

Display unwind information.
