# Internal memory

The QRB5165 internal memory supports the following:

- A system cache (3 MB) is introduced to improve the performance of the memory system
    - Additive cache capacity
        - Provides 7 MB total cache (3 MB system cache + 4 MB Kryo L3 cache) for a
                single-thread workload
    - Allows better data sharing with other blocks
    - Improved QoS
- IMEM (256 KB) for system memory
    - This is the on-chip memory to reduce the dependency on LPDDR5
    - This is the inter-processor memory
    - This is also the secure memory for the TrustZone kernel
- GMEM (1.25 MB) dedicated for graphics use cases
- PIMEM (Pseudo-IMEM) an encrypted, integrity protected memory region
- Boot ROM
- Additionally, there are several local memories (SRAM) supporting each subsystem
