# Run RF performance test
Source: [https://docs.qualcomm.com/doc/80-WL740-20/topic/set_up_for_RF_performance_evaluation.html](https://docs.qualcomm.com/doc/80-WL740-20/topic/set_up_for_RF_performance_evaluation.html)
To evaluate the RF performance and connectivity of the QCC74x,
refer to the instructions in QCC74x Programming Guide
(80-58740-1) to build the `mfg_test` and
`wifi_ble` examples included in the QCC74x SDK.
This section provides a solid foundation for evaluating the RF performance of the
QCC74x chipset. Follow these detailed instructions
to set up the hardware test bench, connect PC to the board, configure the
QConn\_Flash tool, and set the chip to programming mode. By following these
steps, you can successfully program the firmware for testing purposes.
1. Set up the hardware test bench.
Configure the necessary jumpers, including power
supply and UART.

Note:The default configuration has
the jumper connected to 3.3V for I/O supply during current
measurement. To use the 1.8V I/O supply for current
measurement, you must configure the jumper settings as
follows:
- J4: connect pins 5 and 7 together.
- J4: connect pins 6 and 8 together.
2. Connect PC to the board.
Plug the USB cable into the J2 (UART connector) to power
up the board. Once LED D2 lights up green, it indicates that
the power system is functioning correctly. The UART and
CK-LINK devices are now ready for use on your PC.
3. Configure the QConn\_Flash tool.
1. Run
QConn\_Flash.exe from
QCCSDK-QCC74x\tools\qcc74x\_tools\QConn\_Flash.
2. Set the **Port/SN** to the correct UART COM
number.
4. Set the chip to programming mode.
1. Press and hold the S1 (BOOT)
button.
2. Press and release the S2 (RESET)
button.
3. Release the S1 (BOOT) button.
Select Browse to
select the flash\_prog\_cfg.ini file in
the
QCCSDK-QCC74x/examples/mfg\_test/flash\_prog\_cfg.ini
directory.

5. Program firmware for RF test.
Select Download to program
firmware. The following log shows that programming is
successful.

Note: If the programming fails,
repeat Step 4 and Step 5.
