# Antenna Source: [https://docs.qualcomm.com/doc/80-WL740-3/topic/antenna.html](https://docs.qualcomm.com/doc/80-WL740-3/topic/antenna.html) The antenna is a high-frequency energy conversion device. The structure of the whole machine and the surrounding medium have a great impact on the performance of the antenna. The following points must be noted: - Avoid any metallic materials around the antenna as they can influence its performance. - Control the input impedance of the antenna close to 50 Ω to minimize power loss. - When the PCB antenna is working, the ground or signal network close to the end of the antenna will have certain voltage fluctuations due to electromagnetic coupling. It's recommended not to place sensitive components at the end of the antenna. - It's recommended to model and simulate the antenna in actual products to reduce the problem of radio frequency performance deterioration. At the same time, a π-shaped matching network can be reserved at the antenna end for debugging the antenna.
